All Natural Teeth Whitening
Another goodie from Dr. Oz..natural teeth whitening. Just squeeze a lemon half and add some baking soda. Then dip a cotton ball in the mixure and rub over teeth. After that, brush as usual.

Keep your vegtables safe from pesticides
Dr. OZ did a show on pesticides on vegtables. It was shocking to learn how that they are loaded with up to as many as 60 different pesticides on one piece of fruit or vegtables. The worst? Strawberrys. But don't give up on fresh fruits and vegtables, he gave a recipe for a non-toxic vegtable wash you make make cheaply and easily:
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1/2 of a lemon juice
Pour all ingredients in a new clean spray bottle, mix well.
For things like spinach, or strawberries, you can soak them for about 1/2 hour in the solution to get the pesticides to rinse off.

Back Help
For a couple of weeks, I've been dealing with a pinched sciatic nerve, which is the main nerve that runs from your back and a branch for each leg. I was experiencing everything from a dull ache in the right side of my butt to sharp pain. I don't have the money to go see a chiropractor. However, I do have a Spine Worx
. I didn't hold much hope for it helping me with THIS big of a problem. But, necessity is the mother of invention (or at least coming up with alternatives). So I decided to lie on it 20 minutes every day and see what happens. Sure enough, every day it was getting better until it's almost gone now. It's amazing what a simple device (a molded piece of plastic) can do. Although I wouldn't consider it a replacement for the chiropractor, it can do in a pinch (yes, pun intended!).

Oven: Green and Clean
I have a recipe for green oven cleaner. Since I've switched over to the wood cook stove until spring, it is time to clean my electric roaster oven. I was suprized how effective this recipe was.
Ingredients:
Baking soda, Water, spray bottle, sponge
Directions:
Sprinkle about a quarter inch layer of baking soda all over the bottom of the oven. Using a clean spray bottle filled with water, spray the baking soda until damp but not wet. Wet the soda a couple of times throughout the day and let sit overnight. Wipe clean the next day with a sponge.
As with any oven cleaner, I had a few stubborn spots with lots of baked on stuff. The baking soda makes a mild abrasive with got most of the remaining stuff off. However, I still have a couple of stubborn spots which I covered up with the baking soda paste to sit another day.
